Company Overview: We are a busy and growing pet grooming salon in Brewster, NY, dedicated to providing top-notch grooming services for dogs of all breeds and sizes. We focus on the care and well-being of pets, ensuring they leave looking and feeling their best. If you're passionate about dogs and have grooming experience, we want to hear from you! Our 11,000 sq ft location features a large assortment of food and supplies. In addition to grooming we also provide veterinary care through our in-store clinic.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. As a commission-based groomer, you will have the opportunity to earn based on your performance and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for providing grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and more. A positive attitude, patience, and love for animals are key in ensuring the best experience for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services (bathing, trimming, cutting, brushing, and styling) for dogs of all breeds and sizes
• Provide compassionate handling of all pets, ensuring their comfort and safety
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area and equipment
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, recommendations, and aftercare
• Assess pets for any health issues such as skin conditions or parasites and inform the owner if anything is found
• Maintain records of grooming services provided and products used
• Ensure high standards of customer service to build long-term relationships with clients

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of professional dog grooming experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of various dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques
• Ability to handle dogs of all temperaments and sizes
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Must have own grooming tools (shears, clippers, etc.)
• Certification from a recognized grooming school is a plus but not required

Compensation:

• Commission-based pay structure with the potential for high earnings based on performance
• Flexible scheduling available
• Signing bonus ($1000) for established groomers and groomers bringing in existing clientele.
