Associate Veterinarian

Wanted: Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinarian with Excellent Communication Skills in Nampa, Idaho

We are seeking a confident, compassionate, highly skilled full-time or part-time veterinarian to join our healthcare team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, energetic, and loves building the pet and owner bond. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent client service skills, and high-level communication skills are required. You will be free to utilize your extensive diagnostic capabilities since our technicians are highly trained and used to their fullest potential.

Who we are: we are a dog and cat only privately-owned practice that is located in Nampa, Idaho, just outside of Boise. We provide high level medicine including annual wellness visits and vaccines, preventive bloodwork, in-house laboratory, radiology, ultrasound, multi-model anesthetic monitors for every patient under anesthesia, dental prophies including dental radiograph, and extensive orthopedic and soft tissue surgery capabilities. We also have a great working relationship with Idexx as our reference laboratory. We are a smaller hospital that can create a personal bond with each client and pet, yet we are also busy enough to allow care for more animals in the community.

Our veterinarians and support staff have almost all been in the field at least 10 years and have a lot of experience under their belt. The staff know how to help the vets, anticipate what is needed and provide additional recommendations to clients as needed. This allows the vets to utilize their time seeing more patients and doing callbacks instead of technician jobs which creates a good work-life balance.

Qualifications:

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university and licensure in good standing in the state of Idaho.
• The ability to make quick decisions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Dedication and pride in your ability to care for patients as if they were your own, practicing high level medicine to create good outcomes for clients.
• An enthusiastic and easy-going personality who is willing to work hard but also have fun in a team environment.
• Excellent written/typed (digital records) and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and skills, offer creative ideas, be able to collaborate with other DVMs, and accept change.
• Must be compassionate and sympathetic and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
