What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bather/Groomer Trainee position at Pet Supplies Plus?
Kick off the program.
Begin our paid Paragon School of Grooming program in your local Pet Supplies Plus store.
Step 2.Learn from your mentor and training coach. Progress through the program with opportunities to show off what you’ve learned, and receive constructive feedback from your Paragon Mentor and Pet Supplies Plus Services Training Coach, whom have decades of combined experience in the art of grooming.
Step 3.Put your hard work into practice. Within a few weeks, you’ll start to provide basic grooming services.
Step 4. Complete the final program stages.Next, you’ll move on to the next stage of the Paragon program and learn to hone your skills, time management, and productivity.
Step 5. Graduation day! You’re now a certified Pet Supplies Plus groomer and will begin your rewarding career as a commissioned dog groomer
This Position Requires:
- Strength to lift up to 60 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time.
- Willingness to patiently interact with, bathe, and assess Dogs
- Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
Needing Strong Skills and Abilities:
- Effective communication with team members and dog parents (via written app)
- Attention to detail, Willingness to take the initiative & adapt when necessary
- Time-management
- Ability to self-critique; hold oneself to high standards of task delivery
