Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented ETL Tester to ensure the quality and integrity of our data warehouse and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL testing, proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases and data quality for ETL processes.
- Validate data transformation, extraction, and loading processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and quality.
- Utilize Python scripts for automation and testing purposes.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and developers to understand data requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues, and work with the development team for resolution.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation across different data sources.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes.
- Generate and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.
- Proven experience in ETL testing and data validation.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis
- Solid experience in Python programming, particularly for automation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
