What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian, Small School Head position at Petaluma City Schools?
School Sites: Petaluma Accelerated Charter School, San Antonio High School & Valley Oaks High School.
Time: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
An employee in this class is assigned cleaning and maintenance and supervisory responsibility for a small school plant.

Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the use and care of cleaning materials and equipment; requirements for maintaining school buildings and adjacent areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. Ability to operate heating and ventilating equipment; use basic hand tools in performing minor repairs and adjustment; work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work; keep records and prepares reports; formulate and carry out effective courses of action; coordinate the operations of several small crews engaged in special projects designed to meet the needs of a small school plant; and maintain a storeroom of supplies and equipment and keep stock control records.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level required for successful job performance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two years of increasingly responsible experience in custodial work, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.

This position requires the employee to perform heavy physical labor and the employee is required to be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.

Pay: $16.54 - $21.09 per hour
