Quality Assurance Associate

PetDine, a company of ADM (NYSE: ADM), formally known as Pedigree Ovens/The Pound Bakery, is a contract manufacturer that helps entrepreneurs capitalize on opportunities through the development of custom pet supplements and treats. Our pet products span soft chews, liquid food toppers, powders, dental and long goods, baked treats, semi-moist treats, and kibble. PetDine is part of ADM's Global Pet Solutions business sub-segment within ADM's Nutrition Business Unit.

We are expanding our Quality Department and searching for Quality Associates. We are looking for individuals motivated to grow with us and learn how to test and sample our pet treats!

5:00 pm to 5:00 am - $17/hr. $2 differential

• B Shift [Sun-Tues, every other Sat.]
• D Shift [Wed-Fri, every other Sat.]

Responsibilities

• Pull samples for microbiological testing.
• Verify effectiveness of and document metal detection logs
• Test AW and document on water activity log for each Work Order
• Document oven temperatures and RF settings every hour.
• Work with Operators and Supervisors to modify ovens and bake times as needed based on visual quality checks and Aw results.
• Check/verify weights on bulk packaging and boxed product (random)
• Schedule and manage all QA equipment calibration
• Perform all pre and post-cleaning procedures to achieve sanitary requirements
• Perform any new QA checks as required for new processes.
• Perform any other job functions requested by the supervisor.

Education/Experience

• Be at least 18 years old or older
• High School Diploma Required
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Possess general knowledge of machine operation
• Previous food safety background
• Manufacturing background experience (preferred)
• Possess basic math skills
• Ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Ability to use creative thinking for troubleshooting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to demonstrate safe working habits
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work well with others and be a team member
• Evident enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
