Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Plumbing Manager's primary role is to be responsible for the overall success and management of plumbing sales, install and service; plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and control departmental activities and functions to achieve revenue goals and other objectives while maintaining a strong customer focus, leveraging the brand, and driving employee engagement in a rapidly changing and highly competitive business environment. Other duties include but are not limited to:
- Assumes full operational responsibility for profit and loss related activities.
- Establishes a team culture among department personnel and holds the team to a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Prepares business forecasts, budgets, and other reports in addition to monitoring the timely flow or paperwork necessary to the department.
- Analyze and control average ticket prices on services rendered to assure favorable profit margin.
- Financial analysis to identify trends and prospective problem areas and taking immediate action based on findings.
- Developing new programs and executing established plans to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of competitors, developing innovations to maintain market lead, sharing best practices across the organization.
- Set individual goals and KPI’s for all staff positions with financial responsibilities.
- Provide troubleshooting support to plumbing technicians when needed.
- Communicate clearly, show recognition, and build rapport with employees.
- Monitor employee engagement levels and know how to promote a healthy work environment.
- Establish customer satisfaction metrics, evaluate performance, and coach staff to success.
- Interviewing, selecting, hiring, training, and promoting employees.
- Create annual budget, control expenses, and meet or exceed plan.
- Build a plan for escalating customer concerns that results in quick, favorable results.
- Ensure sufficient staff levels to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes.
- Promote enthusiasm and brand loyalty during daily huddles, team meetings and 1:1’s.
- Ensure team is compliant with company safety policies.
- May be required to work overtime
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
- 5 years in a managerial role successfully leading a fast-paced service department and a proven track record of growing a business/department.
- 5 years in plumbing, HVAC, or construction background preferred
- Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives.
- Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record. Must be insurable.
- Ability to inspire and lead others to attain company goals.
- Quick, sound decision making abilities.
- Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
