Junior Construction Project Manager
Full Time
Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 Yearly Salary Bonus Pay
Location: Fairfield County
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Must have Saturday availability
- Looking for a freelance Junior Construction Project Manager, to help with paperwork and responsibilities running a construction job. You will maintain communication between clients, sub-contractors and vendors, as well as assist our Senior Project Managers with estimating, scheduling & coordinating installations, inspections and permitting; subsequently leading to managing your own projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has great work ethic, is a self-starter with excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities, who thrives in fast-paced environments. They will gain field experience on the construction sites and learn how to run a construction business, as well as receive mentorship from senior project managers and developers.
Qualifications
- Degree in Project Management (Preferred)
- Construction Experience: (Preferred)
- Project Management: 3 years (Preferred), or willing to train new Graduates
- Architectural experience or ability to read construction plans
- Strong work ethic
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Project Managers.
- Drive contact with clients throughout the project.
- Keep weekly logs with photos and updates for clients and architects.
- Schedule sub-contractors, inspections, and deliveries.
- Responsible for take-offs and estimating.
- Order materials.
- Daily job-site visits (1/2 day at job site, 1/2 day in the office).
- Keep track of project expenses and timeline.
- Deliver on-time, in-budget projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Project Management or previous experience within a project support/project coordinator role managing projects ranging from $250K to $3 million. Willing to train new Graduates.
- Must have ability to read plans.
- Computer literacy of Microsoft software (Excel and Word), BlueBeam/Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD. Additionally, but not required, Photoshop or other photo editing software.
- Knowledge to create take-offs and project estimating.
- Great written and verbal communications.
- Quick response time to texts, calls, and emails.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Capable of managing/collaborating/working with construction teams, clients, architects, and contractors/tradesman.
- Good skill set in time management and task prioritization.
- Passion for managing teams and driving results.
- Ability to multitask and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Desire to learn and develop new skills.
- Must have Saturday availability
- Valid CT Driver’s License
- Own Transportation
- Fluent in Spanish a plus
Preferably have a maximum commute of 40 minutes to our Fairfield office.
