Description
Job Summary:
Detail Customer's drawings, or prepare shop drawings of semi complicated parts, equipment and assemblies, including various views, sectional profiles and small or intricate details from sketches or customers drawings to relate pertinent information to shop personnel.
Essential Functions:
- Review critical material items from estimate sheet
- Furnish to purchasing in writing, a verification of, or any changes made to, material to be ordered
- Detail customer's print or generate PEFM drawing
- Generate cut list for production
- Write process order for each item
- Generate all NC/CNC programs (if required)
- Outside process sheets (if required)
- Weld maps (if required)
- Update all job packets with the applicable information
- Conduct meeting to review the engineer's process order
- Distribute completed job packets to the applicable departments
- Review all drawing changes from the customer
- Inform the Project Manager what affect the change has on the job
- Issue all drawing changes to the shop floor
- Provide technical assistance to shop personnel on an "as needed basis."
- Maintain safe environment
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and drafting skills, including basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Basic computer knowledge, i.e., Windows commands and Data entry and simple program manipulation.
- Proficient working knowledge of a Word Processor and type skills of 25 words per minute.
- Has a minimum of one year working experience on a CAD system.
- Basic math skills including algebra, trigonometry and geometry.
- Knowledge of machining and fabrication processes and capabilities.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Education preferred. One to two year's experience in manufacturing processes; secondary education preferred.
