Description
Job Summary:
Track all parts, drawings, route cards, and trailers throughout manufacturing process. Document all information using EXCEL spreadsheets.
Essential Functions:
- Work with scheduler to update schedule
- Track material and parts
- Create and track route cards
- Track and maintain accuracy of shop trailers/paperwork
- Assist other departments as required
- Support company vision and mission statement
- Coordinate activities between other departments to support program needs
Training:
- Help train new Expeditors when needed.
Essential Mental Functions:
Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people. Ability to give, receive, and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner. Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer. Must be able to work favorably in a high stress environment.
Essential Physical Functions:
Work in shop environment. Must be able to work odd hours/schedule. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment, and machinery, i.e. forklift, truck, cranes. Requires normal range of hearing and vision to operate machinery, and to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Will require steel toe shoes/boots. Requires working under stressful conditions. May require working overtime.
Safety Requirements:
- Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others
- Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer's safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
Equipment Used (but not limited to):
Computer, Cranes, Forklifts, Company trucks, Office equipment, i.e., telephone, fax, copier etc.
Availability:
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.
- Must be available and willing to work overtime as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
Travel:
Must be available and willing to travel as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
Working Conditions:
Noisy shop environment 80% of the time. Office environment 20% of the time. May be required to work overtime.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good computer skills, i.e., Dynamics AX, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, e-mail.
- Must be able to read drawings.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Posses' interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.
- Establish and maintain trust, unity, and partnering with Management, Team Members, and Customers.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations/confrontations.
- Broad knowledge of shop and support organizations.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
