A Day In The Life:

Petlab Co is looking for a Creative Editor to join the small but ambitions innovation team. You’ll be a real self-starter with a creative flair and a great eye for creating content.

You'll kickstart your day with a call alongside the Head of Innovation to align on current projects and explore potential opportunities. Following this, you'll delve into editing and crafting compelling ads. Collaborating closely with our producer in Austin, you'll actively contribute to shoots, whether it's behind the camera or providing creative direction. Script development will also be a key part of your day, constantly producing new ideas and angles for customers, influencers, or actors to execute.

This role is multifaceted, and we value self-starters who can take initiative. You'll have the opportunity to engage with influencers or actors to bring our creative concepts to life. Adaptability and creativity are key as you navigate the fast-paced and ever-evolving landscape of PetLab Co.

We move and think fast, so it’s essential that you thrive in a dynamic environment and are willing to dive in and support the team in any way possible. Our international department operates across Austin, Dubai, and the Philippines, necessitating flexibility in your schedule. Initially, your start time will be at 6 am (7 am when daylight saving time changes).

Your day-to-day will look a little bit like this:

•       Create engaging and compelling video content, particularly for platforms like TikTok, Facebook and Instagram
•       Film and edit videos to meet audience engagement goals
•       Collaborate with the Innovation team to brainstorm and execute creative concepts
•       Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for video content creation
•       Work closely with our Austin-based producers to shoot and edit content on the ground.

What You Need...

•       The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, or Final Cut Pro editing software.
•       Proven track record of creating viral content on TikTok
•       Strong experience with filming and video editing (long form and short form)
•       Strong creativity and ambition
•       Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
•       Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•       Extremely self-motivated and efficient worker
•       Any experience working with dogs or animals would be highly beneficial
