JOB TITLE: SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process Engineer duties typically include the following activities, which can be undertaken independently or when assisting other Asset Team members:
- Develop the basis of design, undertake detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations.
- Prepare or Review Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions and P&IDs for review and approval.
- Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed.
- Perform safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviews as directed.
- Communicate effectively within a multidiscipline design team to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
- Ensure all technical documents and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant design codes, standards and legislation.
- Check and verify engineering documents in line with the technical and quality plan.
- Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
- Providing documentation and drawing deliverables on time to meet project deadlines.
- Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed. The above is an outline of key duties and accountabilities, rather than an exclusive or exhaustive list of responsibilities. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master Degree, B.E or B.Tech Chemical Eng. or Process Engineering Experience with a different branch specialization with 8 years of experience in Process design engineering.
- Experience from Refinery, Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Chemical will be an advantage.
- Experience in Preparation of Design Basis, Basic simulation, PFD & HMB, P&ID, Equipment sizing and generation of process data sheets for equipment and instruments, Hydraulic calculations, Relief & Flare Calculations
- Hands on experience in the use of technical software like, HYSYS, PRO-II, AspenPlus, Flaresim, Flarenet, Pipenet will be an advantage
- Knowledge of the Management of Change Process
- Ability to interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings
- Knowledge & previous use of process databases
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office package
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic when working as part of a team or on own initiative.
