About the Job
DESCRIPTION
The Sales Audit Analyst is responsible for executing the daily tasks and deliverables in our Sales Audit department. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the auditing and recording of store sales and system analysis, credit card chargeback management, tender type processing overages / shortages, and communication with our store associates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze and reconcile sales and system data daily. Utilize bank account, point of sale, and system information to monitor sales activity.
- Communicate with various internal and external business partners to resolve sales reconciliation differences. Communication includes daily interaction with store associates answering questions or directing activity.
- Prepare daily journal entries and analyze credit / debit card chargeback activity

Prepare daily journal entries related to managing sales deposits, overages/shortages, and change orders
- Complete month end journal entries for each accounting close cycle

Prepare general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis

Complete all assigned ad hoc projects

Provide coverage and assistance to team members when necessary.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree – Accounting or Finance preferred
- 2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred

Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. vlookups, pivot tables, sum-ifs, etc.)
