Veterinary Hiring Manager
Reporting to the Manager of Veterinary Talent Acquisition of PetVet Care Centers, the Veterinary Hiring Manager will work closely with Hospital Medical Directors, Administrators and the PetVet Talent Acquisition team to attract, secure and retain exceptional veterinary talent.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting and hiring doctors based on needs identified by Hospital Administrators and the Operations Leadership
- Recruiting of hospital support personnel based on needs identified by the Hospital Administrator
- Develop and maintain current, effective job listings through the ATS system
- Create advertising content, place ads where appropriate for each type of position
- Maintain a vibrant and active hospital presence on LinkedIn and other professional Social Media platforms
- Interview all DVM candidates and facilitate all on site interviews, tours, dinners, meet and greets with appropriate department heads
- Create and facilitate regular meeting times ( bi-weekly) for support candidate interviews held by the Hospital
Administrator
- Routinely update Operations and Talent Acquisition leadership on candidate flow, sourcing efforts, roadblocks to recruitment and regional competition (job openings, advertised comp and incentives, etc); accurately track key recruiting and retention metrics
- Drive in-network and external referrals
- Know the Long Island Metro DVM talent pool and connect by leveraging contact through networking and cold calls
- Source passive candidates via resume databases, LinkedIn, Facebook Groups and other connection tools such as email, text and telephone
- Work closely with Sourcing team to execute targeted campaigns and social media content
- Stay current on new avenues to connect with talent
- Assist Operations team with offer formulation; compose, discuss and assist with the negotiation of employment contracts
- Maintain relationships with regional campus contacts to build pipelines
Specific requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of multi-unit specialty veterinary recruitment experience or specialty veterinary management experience
- Strong communication, multi-tasking and business partnering skills
- Ability to grasp new platforms and software intuitively
- Ability to self-direct
- Ability to identify and grasp broad objectives
- Experience with sourcing candidates via resume databases and social media platforms
- Ability to consolidate information and actions into reportable formats

This is a full-time position based in Metro Denver where working remotely is possible occasionally. Travel required 2-6x per year for veterinary conferences 7 support staff career events. M-F workweek required. Daily hours can be tailored to your needs.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
