Quality Specialist A crew - Reports to Kelly Osman

Purpose and role of job: Responsible for verifiying conformity to specifications with daily tasks and reviews for releases pertaining to product shipments. Managing hold areas in regards to dispositioning nonconforming material by the Quality Department.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

• Review daily production records ensuring Quality and Process data is correct and accurate, confirm product conformance to Specifications.
• Audit and review the completion of product test results are accurate and conform to quality systems.
• Create COA’s, audit vision system, and complete releases for finished goods.
• Maintain QC records and Daily Packets.
• Review Converter COA’s and complete Shippers as needed.
• Ensure hold reports (MRR’s) are initiated as required for materials placed on hold. Assist in investigation and disposition of materials.
• Basic knowledge of QW and template changes.
• Knowledge of Raw Materials- Incoming Testing, COA’s.
• Assist in the establishment of standards for QC procedures and test equipment.
• May be asked to assist in training of technicians in lab testing or incoming specialists.
• Assist in the laboratory for testing as needed.
• Recommend quality improvements to the Quality system.
• Provide support for Customer audits of PFN business/quality systems.
• Maintain storage area where retains and daily packet records are housed. Perge records and retains according to our Record Control Procedure.
• Assist Quality Manager or Quality Supervisor with any job needed.

Education and experience requirements:

• Associates Degree (Eng, Science, Math, CS) preferred.
• Minimum a high school degree or equivalent with at least 4 years experience in related Quality position
• Must be able to work rotating weekends
• Demonstrated performance consistent with knowledge, skills, and abilities, required of position
• ASQ Certifications a plus
• Attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques as they apply to quality systems
• Multi-tasking skills required
• Proficient in math skills, unit conversions, statistics
• Familiar with formal quality systems
• Microsoft Office applications experience. Excel and Word
Work Environment: Observes all safety rules and uses proper safety equipment at all times.
Physical Requirements: Constant sitting with frequent standing/walking during workday.
Occasional bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching overhead throughout shift.
Occasional pushing and pulling with arms, legs, and body throughout shift.
Occasional lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds.
Constant repetitive use of hands.
Occasional simple/light and firm/strong grasping with hands.
