Inventory Control Specialist
Location: 61 Responder Drive, Anniston, AL 36205
FLSA Classification: Exempt - Salaried
Employment Class: Full Time Regular
Position Summary:
Potawatomi Training, LLC (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Inventory Control Specialist who is responsible for organizing and maintaining inventory records, including quantity, type, and value of material, equipment and supplies, within the facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conducts physical inventories of all property on the Project Managers Hand Receipt
• Maintains all documentation on all assets, including location, quantity, type and value
• Creates and maintains inventory database on all property
• Maintains electronic inventory
• Tracks equipment and supplies using Asset Management APP
• Participates in inventory process and audits
• Investigates and reports inventory discrepancies; reports them and recommends corrective actions
• Identifies and reports consumption and monetization of excess inventory
• Verifies daily inventory levels and maintains accurate inventory counts
• Formats and provides daily/weekly inventory status reports, as needed
• Ensures data accuracy of all transactions within the inventory management system
• Maintains warranty information on product purchases
• Provides copier counts to CDP Asset Management
• Processes and facilitates employee move requests
• Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• High school graduate or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Three (3) years of inventory experience
• Must possess and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills required
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Working knowledge of purchasing policies
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift, turn and carry material (up to 60 lbs)
• Experience working with databases and spreadsheets
