POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for leading the work of the staff and participate in daily work activities while ensuring the production of the team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain current plans, procedures, programs and strategies to enhance performance, accuracy levels and interdepartmental perceptions.
- Ensure maximum utilization of manpower and equipment.
- Responsible for overseeing replenishment, DRP, picking, packing, shipping and International shipments.
- Respond to issues via email or phone in a timely manner.
- Maintain safety, housekeeping and maintenance standards.
- Must be able to interact with other departments to help make team successful.
- Must be able to push productivity while simultaneously controlling costs.
- Ability to stand in when Supervisor is out.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of distribution experience.
- 1-3 years of previous leadership experience.
- JDE/WMS knowledge required.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in all Microsoft programs.
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels both internally and externally.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds and instruct employees on client processes.
- Must be able to monitor, measure and maintain professional attitude.
- Promote fair, safe, trained and engaged work environment.
