Department Overview
Position Summary
Manages LOB's Risk and Compliance programs, procedures and systems. Actsin a consultative capacity to assigned business units. Identifies andassesses organizational compliance requirements and operational risks.Develops controls and metrics and evaluates for effectiveness.Evaluating control deficiencies, supporting the design of mitigatingactivities, and facilitates publishing policies and standards.
Job Responsibilities
Anticipates risk and compliance issues and develops innovative solutions to mitigate risks.
Provides strategic guidance and coaching to risk owners to develop, implement and monitor appropriate risk mitigation activities, controls and alternatives analyses.
Works independently with minimal guidance on complex compliance and risk assessment issues with critical impact to the organization and PG&E.
Works with all levels of leadership (up to and including SVP) across functions to influence decisions around risk and compliance issues.
Works with senior management to support strategic planning and decision making on risk and compliance issues.
Develops and coordinates preparation of presentation materials for various levels of management up to and including senior vice president.
Develops risk and compliance program strategies, templates and direction.
Leads continuous improvement in Risk & Compliance program; consistently demonstrates innovative and new thinking focused on program strategy, controls development, risk analysis and mitigation and implementation.
Leads, and develops materials for, training and educating employees and leaders (up to directors) 1:1 or in small groups to ensure understanding of compliance requirements, risk management principles, internal audit issues and other needed items to support organization-wide awareness and facilitate LOB behaviors related to audit, risk and compliance.
Manages integrated planning deliverables related to risk and compliance.
May own LOB risk register and collaborate with leadership on its development and maintenance.
May participate in established compliance or risk management forums at the enterprise level.
Presents findings and makes recommendations to functional management, directors, officers and their employees.
Provide subject-matter expertise and coaching related to risk and compliance management.
Provide support, advice, guidance and recommendations to risk owners and senior leaders to ensure effective risk management.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience in risk management, or related, 10 years
Desired:
Masters Degree or equivalent experience
RIMS-Risk And Insurance Management Society Certification
CCEP-Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional certification
