PGS Worldwide is actively seeking Entry Level Mechanical Assemblers to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace industry leader in Manassas, VA. This position is for 1st shift 4/10 schedule Monday- Thursday paying up to $17 per hour on an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity. I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
- Perform repetitive light mechanical tasks as an operator on a fast-paced, high-rate production line.
- Work collaboratively with advanced robotics and automation, using specialized tooling and fixturing in the manufacture of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Leverage multi-media work instructions to perform work and use a manufacturing execution system to document completions and quality defects.
- May conduct in-line quality inspections in accordance with quality specifications and perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Operator may disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must have some mechanical aptitude and mechanical assembly experience.
- Vaccine exemptions available.
Desired:
- Hand tool experience is desired.
- Manual electronics solder experience is desired.
