Job Title: Automation Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Independently performs and implements controls-related projects or manufacturing support tasks, contributing directly to company profitability. Develops innovative design solutions for complex problems.
- Executes multiple projects or manufacturing support tasks in a cGMP environment, understanding regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
- Proficient in automation programming languages and platforms, with expertise in preferred systems such as Allen-Bradley (Factory Talk platforms, ControlLogix, Panelview, PLC-5, SLC), Siemens (PCS7, WinCC), Modicon Unity, GE iFix, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
- Applies knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems, NEC, NFPA 70E, and PSM regulations/standards.
- Modifies and authors site process automation strategies aligned with CSL objectives.
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement through employee development, training, and mentoring, focusing on operational efficiency.
- Assists in developing policies, SOPs, and Quality and Engineering standards to meet industry and regulatory requirements.
- Complies with the client's Safety Program, including Health and Safety mandates and OSHA requirements.
- Completes other duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering. Alternatively, experience in process control with extensive controls and automation experience may be considered.
- 3 years of experience in Automation Technologies within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in biopharmaceutical industry and Engineering/Automation projects is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with customers, design teams, contractors, and management.
- Action-oriented with the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving, technical learning, time management, and prioritization skills.
