Background:

Within the Agency Division of Phase 3, we have created a new position to lead our team of five Client Services professionals. The growing Agency Division offers integrated marketing, brand-building strategy and creative, and activation through our PR and paid media teams.

The ideal candidate to lead the Client Services team will have client-facing experience in a mid-sized/boutique agency environment. This important role will oversee the agency’s client-engagement, integrated marketing planning and project management.

We are looking for a leader with the vision to manage our clients’ needs today – and tomorrow as Phase 3 continues to grow by double digits annually.


Team Collaboration:

The Senior Director of Client Services reports to the EVP of Agency Services, and interfaces with agency colleagues including the SVP of Creative, SVP of PR, SVP of Strategy and Director of Media.

Beyond the Agency Division of Phase 3, this new role will collaborate with the Phase 3 sales team and business development/marketing team on incoming and existing clients.

 

Job Role:

This new role oversees the Agency Client Services team and interfaces with clients on campaigns and projects being managed by the Agency Division, ensuring the quality of our final deliverables and the overall experience of working with us.

  1. Client Advisor
    1. Provide clients with smart marketing recommendations
    2. Form close relationships with Phase 3 salespeople to help grow agency clients
  2. Integrated marketing consultation and leadership
    1. Brand strategy
    2. Creative & design
    3. Web development
    4. Communications planning
    5. Paid Media
    6. Public Relations, event management & social
  3. Effective project management
    1. Optimizing the overall process
    2. Ensuring new clients and projects and onboarded
    3. Balancing the workload between Client Services team members
    4. Trafficking work to Agency Creative team
    5. Utilizing our technology tools to be productive: Basecamp, Tick
    6. Managing internal and external expectations with excellent communication
    7. Oversee the creation of Agency scopes of work, timelines and pricing
    8. Ensure client profitability and staying within scope
  4. Mentor & Manager
    1. Set the standard for professionalism & communication skills
    2. Continuously optimize departmental processes and ensure adoption
    3. Oversee growth and career development of team
    4. Champion the team members and mission of Client Services

Phase 3 is unusual in the marketing industry in being able to truly offer “Ideation to Execution” by having full Agency services and full printing and production services. Our structure is designed to provide clients with strategic creative concepts and to be able to build in digital and in physical forms. The agency and print divisions of Phase 3 can collaborate on clients, and stand independently as best of breed in agency services and printing.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for mentoring direct reports
  • Experience with B2C and B2B clients
  • Affinity for working directly with mid and senior-level clients
  • In-depth knowledge of the elements of traditional and digital marketing
  • Flexibility to grow and scale the Client Services team along with the business
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
  • Be able to prioritize and re-prioritize projects in a dynamic environment
  • Take responsibility for the team creating project scopes, timelines and pricing
  • A minimum of 7 years’ success working at a mid-sized marketing agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field
