Job Responsibilities and Requirements
The Financial Systems Manager will have complete responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Oracle EBS and Oracle Analytical Cloud (OAC) for the Finance Department, including all aspects related to maximizing our usage of Oracle's technological capabilities.
Provides subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on Oracle EBS applications for the Finance department.
Responsible for the Oracle General Ledger and all other Oracle Accounting and Finance functions.
Responsible for the functional and integration testing to support yearly Critical Patch Upgrade.
Collaborate with business users to create data flow, analysis and dashboard using OAC to support the reporting needs.
Coordinate with IT on projects that involve integration with the financial systems.
Lead Finance Modernization projects to help maximize our usage of all of Oracle's technological capabilities, manage the development of capacity increasing solutions such as automating manual tasks and implementing process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the Finance departments.
Must lead user acceptance testing of new enhancements before their deployment.
Must be able to translate technical and business requirements and communicate effectively with both technical and business experts.
Must work with business customers, developers and Oracle Support to research, document and resolve Oracle system issues.
Develop process flows as needed.
Develop work flow documentation as needed.
Implements policies and procedures for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Support various systems used within financial areas such as Sales compensation system (Varicent), Budgeting and Planning tool (Bizview) as needed.
Leadership
Oversees a team of approximately 1-2 team members
Accountable for performance of team; engages team members in talent management and development opportunities, and builds a positive and respectful work environment.
Makes personnel decisions on hiring, firing, discipline, transfer, advancement and promotion in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Change agent in the organization which is shown through advocacy of new programs.
Models and drives company values in the department.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study required. MBA or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, or Statistics is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years related experience with Oracle EBS
Management experience preferred
Functional knowledge of Oracle e-Business suite release 11i / R12 in a multi-organization and multi-set of books environment.
Strong working knowledge of the OAC or OBIEE reporting platform.
Strong knowledge of Oracle's core financial modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, PO, Budget, iProcurement, FSAH
Experience writing business requirements, functional specs, technical requirements, and test plans.
Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of data, report on complex findings and evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
Must be able to maintain a consistently high degree of accuracy in mathematical calculation and analysis.
Must be able to apply concepts such as probability, statistical analysis, financial modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Must be able to identify trends in data and information.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and communicate with senior level management required.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, manage ambiguity, and work in fast paced environment required.
Ability to perform under stress in emergency situations.
Understanding of Compliance, Internal Controls, and Regulatory requirements.
Must be a pro-active leader and influencer who can think "outside the box , and effectively build strong relationships across the department to understand user needs.
Demonstrated project leadership, business and technical acumen around the data within a financial services organization.
Experience modernizing legacy data to newer technologies.
Life Insurance background and insurance experience is a plus.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team with all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
Experience in DataMart, Docusign, and (url removed) is a plus
