- 8 to 13-week contract with the possibility of an extension

- Assessment: Conduct patient assessments to evaluate respiratory conditions and needs.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized respiratory care plans in consultation with physicians.
- Breathing Treatments: Administer and monitor various respiratory therapies, such as inhalers, nebulizers, and chest physiotherapy.
- Ventilation Management: Manage mechanical ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support.
- Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) Analysis: Perform ABG analysis to assess a patient's oxygenation and acid-base balance.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care.
- Emergency Response: Respond to respiratory emergencies, including code blue situations.
- Equipment Setup: Set up and maintain respiratory equipment, including oxygen delivery systems.
- Chest X-rays: Assist with or perform chest X-rays to assess lung conditions.
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients on mechanical ventilation and adjust settings as needed.
- Pulmonary Function Testing: Conduct and interpret pulmonary function tests to evaluate lung function.
- Suctioning: Perform airway suctioning to clear secretions from the air passages.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Infection Control: Ensure infection control measures are followed during respiratory procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of care.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
