What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRO Quotation Specialist position at PHI, Inc.?

POSITION OVERVIEW

With over 200 helicopters in the company fleet and a fast-growing third-party mission, this position reports to the Director of Maintenance, MRO and is accountable for the development and management of competitive market services and negotiations to secure new contracts and maintain existing contracts. This dynamic role will liaison between PHI's internal and external customer base and the MRO management team to develop work packages and quotations along with providing critical support to the CFO in developing our growing MRO strategy. This position also works closely with our BD and Sales Team to form strategies to gain business and plays a key strategic growth role as PHI works more and more with outside customers.

ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Interpret customer requirements, match services to customer specifications/drawings and ensure the quote is technically compatible and competitive.
  • Provide overall support for bid requests in MRO installations, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Read, review, and dissect requests for proposals (RFP), requests for quotations (RFQ), invitations to bid (ITB) and requests for information (RFI).
  • Manage all proposals documents received and maintain all data, determine if estimate or formal quote is required, and create formal avionic proposals.
  • Utilize company cost building templates to create, modify and provide accurate pricing information including labor estimates, parts, engineering/service fees, and miscellaneous costs.
  • Collaborate internally to gather and obtain necessary information, working with different departments such as Business Development, Finance, Operations, and Engineering.
  • Maintain quote tracking status and provide revisions as needed to produce customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain current pricing database from vendors and internal sales spreadsheets; manage incentive programs to ensure accurate and competitive proposal are generated.
  • Provide sales team with supporting documentation required for sales completion.
  • Attend customer meetings, participate in sales calls.
  • Through understanding of technical data such as OEM Service Bulletins and STC's, seek out other approval methods to properly install equipment per the latest FAA requirements.
  • Maintain industry knowledge & familiarity with existing & upcoming products & systems that the MRO could offer to it's customer base.
  • Provide support to planning to ensure a smooth handoff to the Operations Department.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating MRO events with planning and operations prior to arrival.
  • Strong sense of FAA & EASA regulations & requirements applicable to FAR Part 27 and Part 29.
  • Ability to prioritize customer and sales team needs, manage multiple proposals in all stages.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
  • Representing the company in a professional manner is essential.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills
