Position Summary
Phipps Neighborhoods is seeking an exceptionally qualified candidate to serve in the role of Assistant Director in order to provide support to achieve project deliverables, sustainability and success in accordance with defined targets, strategies and goals of contract.
Salary $60,000 - 65,000. Salary is commensurate with education, training, and experience
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in the overall operation of program, including day-to-day planning, staff development, orchestrating community asset mapping to include available health resources, productivity and efficiency to the standards of the contract
• Provide operational and technical support to Director on deliverables along with advise as to how best to achieve performance goals
• In the absence of Director, be prepared to fill in and carry out duties to insure continuous oversight, supervision and compliance with contractual obligations
• Coordinate and oversee scheduling of Listening Sessions between Community Health Workers and residents
• Responsible for overseeing / designing and presenting for posting social media content as it relates to program goals
• At the discretion of Director, supervise and direct Community Health Worker’s Supervisors
• Work to maintain systems and logistics to execute project planning and data collection
• Serve as a role model to staff
• Provide staff supervision
• Set and maintain standards of professionalism
• Schedule educational workshops to enhance skills and development of Community Health Workers and other staff members
• Attend and / or accompany Director to funder’s meetings and / or workshops
• Continuously build community partnerships through either in-person or virtual meeting at community events
• Attend staff meeting as well as debriefing sessions
• Assist in the preparation of internal and external reports
• Preform other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree required
• Experience in community engagement, health care or other forms of direct service outreach;
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, leadership and relationship-building skills;
• Understand and adhere to organizational structure
• Demonstrate multi-tasking ability;
• Experience with data management analysis and reporting;
• Skilled in digital marketing
• Enthusiastic and compassionate
• Demonstrated cultural competence with respect to West Farms, Melrose and, Claremont communities of the Bronx;
• Understanding of New York City’s diversity and experience working with people of diverse backgrounds;
• Proficient in computer software / programming
• Preform other duties as directed
