The Philadelphia Museum of Art seeks an Assistant Manager for the Membership Sales team to provide management support to help achieve the telemarketing department’s goals. The Assistant Manager of Membership Sales oversees the daily operations of telemarketing for the membership department and works with the Manger of Audience Strategy to set goals and strategies for calling members to support retention, acquisition, and stewardship efforts. This position also supports the Manager of Audience Strategy in marketing and communication efforts in the membership department.
Specifically, you will:
Management
Supervise call shifts to ensure quality phone interactions
Create lead sheets for each month and distribute to callers strategically
Sets goals for and coach individual callers to improve performance
Track and administer schedules, timecards and bonus pay
Recruit and hire new Membership Representatives when needed
Process and receive membership gifts in a timely manner
Strategic
Develop scripts and information for callers that meet the strategic needs of campaigns
Work with Manager of Audience Strategy to track the success of telemarketing efforts to goal and past performance and identify shifts in strategy that could approve performance
Work with Manager of Audience Strategy on monthly goal setting for telemarketing
Create efficiencies to reduce administrative time and provide as much data for reporting and analysis as possible
General Support
Attend meetings as assigned
Support Manager of Audience Strategy in membership marketing and communications efforts including email list maintenance, email building, communications tracking, and reporting.
Update member records
Perform other related duties as assigned
Your background and experience include:
A minimum of two years experience in sales, telemarketing, or customer service supervisory role
Excellent communication skills, superior phone troubleshooting skills, and detail orientation.
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, familiarity with database applications (Raiser’s Edge, gift processing, and/or Siriusware) is desired.
Schedule flexibility is required with the ability to work a combination of day, evening, and weekend schedules to meet the needs of the department.
Must be able to handle confidential information in discreet manner.
Position and Compensation Details
The hourly rate for this position is $25.
This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and 35 hours per week.
This position reports to Manager of Audience Strategy
Physical requirements:
Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus
