Translator/Interpreter

Duties:

• Provide accurate and efficient translation of written documents in Spanish, Portuguese, Creole, and other languages.
• Interpret spoken language in various settings such as meetings, conferences, and interviews.
• Ensure cultural sensitivity and understanding in all translations and interpretations.
• Assist in bridging communication gaps between individuals who speak different languages.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information.

Experience:

• Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole is highly desirable.
• Ability to effectively communicate, interpret, and translate between multiple languages.
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• Background in linguistics or a related field is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a bilingual translator or interpreter is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32 per week
