We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 3-6 month paid intern opportunities at our site in Plymouth, MN. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. Your role: We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Student to develop R&D Medical Device experience by supporting Advanced Development programs aimed to treat vascular diseases. In this role you will learn and execute research and development activities associated to the early-stage product development. In this role, you will be responsible for: Supporting research and development activities associated with Advanced Development projects Conducting early feasibility testing and data analysis to support concept selection Supporting the development of benchtop models and test methods for prototype evaluation Making data driven decisions using appropriate analytical methodologies Documenting test results in lab notebooks or test reports. Providing concept demonstrations to stakeholders, describing function of the device and clinical application You're the right fit if: You have completed at least 75% of studies in bachelor’s in mechanical, biomedical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline. You desire to understand and communicate how a product is used and designed to meet an unmet clinical need You are detail oriented, highly organized, and able to communicate technical information to audiences with varying levels of expertise in the area. You are able to multitask, take ownership, and collaborate cross-functionally with others. Philips Transparency Details The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 to $28.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
