Description
Summary
The HR Manager will serve management in a family-owned property management company (Company) within the Human Resources Department. The HR Manager serves all employee relations and compliance functions, with oversight of the payroll and benefits team. The HR Manager also serves and communicates proactively with the executive team and works collaboratively to develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive high performance, continuous improvement, and adherence to the Company’s mission, vision, and values. Multifamily Industry and Paycom experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following, and other duties as assigned.
- Collaborates with Senior Leadership Team to understand organizational goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Accountable to meet Company deliverables and strategic goals (KPIs). Reports to CFO and President (Senior Executives) for all KPIs.
- Manages benefits and compliance to include soliciting plans and negotiating best prices to present to Senior Executives for approval.
- Collaborates, drafts, and implements policies, processes, initiatives, and surveys to support Company’s human resource compliance and strategy needs, with Senior Executives’ approval.
- Oversees legal compliance and reporting. Monitors and ensures company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; employee performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety.
- Oversees, develops, and supports best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Oversees recruitment efforts in collaboration with operational managers.
- Maintains and shares knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to Company management.
- Performs other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year accredited college or university in Human Resources or related field. 8-10 years professional Human Resources experience. Minimum 5 years in an HR Manager role. PHR, SHRM-CP required.
