JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Lead Behavior Analyst (LBA) provides services utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in home, school, and community settings in order to sustain placement in the natural environment. The LBA is responsible for completing a range of client assessments, developing Behavior Consultants (BCs) in community settings, and supervising the performance and development of Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete Functional Behavior Assessments and Skills Assessments for assigned clients.
- Provide in vivo guidance, training and support to BC-ABAs in community/school/home settings.
- Provide consultation and supervision to BHT-ABAs in the implementation of the treatment and behavior support plan; supervise the implementation of behavioral assessment measures, functional behavioral assessment, and treatment plan implementation.
- Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with all team members.
- Maintain a minimum of 50% productivity (billable services) each week by working in the field with BHT-ABAs.
- Support and supervises all assigned BHT-ABA in implementing designed ABA programs by providing at a minimum of bi-weekly case consultation and observation; document all consultation encounters.
- Train new BHT-ABAs on their role and implementation of treatment/behavior support plans in the field.
- Ensure BHT-ABAs are using appropriate behavioral data collection systems such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals.
- Conduct BHT-ABA trainings on a variety of applicable topics, including data collection, ABA interventions, crisis management, documentation, etc.
- Conduct BC-ABA training on a variety of applicable topics, including FBAs, skill acquisition assessments, program development, ABA interventions, treatment planning, graphing, etc.
- Attend interagency meetings to coordinate design of treatment plans and service recommendations.
- Complete all required documentation in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.
- Travel to education and/or home environments to provide services in client’s environment.
- Ensure Compliance with PHMC’s policies and procedures including confidentiality and mandated reporting.
- Provide clinical information to the evaluating psychologist/psychiatrist as required or requested.
- Attend and participate in meetings, training programs, and supervision as required by PHMC and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

EXPERIENCE/REQUIRMENTS:
- At least two years verified post-Master’s experience providing applied behavioral analysis and assessment with children and families with intellectual disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorder
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Licensed Behavior Specialist Consultant (LBS)
- Must have strong applied behavior analysis skills
- Significant experience writing Positive Behavior support plans and conducting FBAs
- Requires strong skills in data collection
- Ability to utilize collaborative, team oriented approach
- Knowledge and understanding of CASSP Principles
- Understanding of child and family development
- Crisis intervention and management
- Knowledge of DSM-5
- Basic knowledge/understanding of common psychotropic medications
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Ability to be adaptable, flexible and change activities quickly
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access) and database management
- Valid driver's license must be maintained
EDUCATION REQUIRMENT:
- A licensed mental health clinician, including psychiatrist, psychologists, licensed professional counselors (LPC), and licensed clinical social workers (LCSW). If not licensed as defined above, must hold Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline, such as Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Creative Arts Therapy, and Marriage and Family Therapy. In order for a degree to count as a mental health degree, the degree must contain as least (12) credit hours in core behavioral health coursework
- Valid Child Abuse (Act 33), Criminal History, FBI and medical clearances
- Participation in and completion of all CBH mandatory in-services (must be completed within three (3) months of hire and then annually from the date of the initial training)
