Who is right for the job?
As a Register Nurse with Phoebe, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to provide quality nursing care to residents and to coordinate total nursing care for residents; coordinating work within the unit as well as with other departments and units; reporting pertinent information to the R.N. Nurse Manager or the Director, Nursing Services; responding to inquiries or requests for information; overseeing Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses in completing their assignments. Your role will be to maintain resident comfort and safety. You will also follow all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. You will represent the facility with integrity, free of gifts or improper inducements. Responsibilities
- Coordinate total nursing care for residents
- Assess residents and develop or revise care plan
- Administer medications
- Administers I.V. fluids with appropriate training
- Performs rounds
- Knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities
- Performs resident treatments designated to be done by a licensed nurse
- Orders medications and check in medications arriving from pharmacy
- Electronically record resident conditions
- Oversees Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses in completing their assignments
- Provides support and consultation to residents’ families

Must Have's:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current Pennsylvania license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR Certification
- None required (experience in LTC/geriatrics preferred).
- Supervisory skills sufficient to manage a small group of employees
