**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and excellent negotiation skills. Needs to have experience in the construction industry. Knowledge with construction materials and supplies a must.
**Duties:**
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine procurement needs
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
- Resolve supplier issues and disputes promptly
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role dealing in construction.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and materials management
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Understanding of logistics and contract management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
