Job Summary


This position of a QA Specialist is to support, execute and contribute to the established performance goals and improvement initiatives within the Quality Department. This position's major function and responsibility is for the efficient processing of all products requiring additional inspection, labeling, or review as a result of an internal/external concerns or established process relating to issues around fit, form, function, appearance, age, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs inspection of purchased materials, components, and assemblies.
  • Performs Value-Added activity, and warehouse stock inspections as required.
  • Provides disposition of nonconforming materials in a timely, economical manner assuring that proper corrective and preventive action is taken.
  • Executes disposition of nonconforming materials.
  • Analyzes customer returned materials to identify root causes, participates in determining disposition of material, and develops rework procedures to correct defects. Reports analysis and recommendations, participating with other departments in creating corrective action.
  • Executes movement of material into and out of various inventory locations
  • Coordinates and leads rework activity within a team structured environment
  • Initiate supplier rejection forms when purchase material is rejected.
  • Administers the Quality Hold Warehouse
  • Assist with receiving inspection tasks
  • Performs any other duties within Quality Management department as requested.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Ability to navigate database systems (ERP, WMS)
  • Ability to write instructions and procedures for rework activities.

Must Be Able To…

  • Lift at least 35 pounds
  • Use pallet jack with 300 pound load
  • Push 4-wheeled cart with 100 pound load
  • Work 8 hours overtime a week, when required
  • Stand or sit continually for two hours without break
  • Use stereo microscope for two hours without break
  • Use computer for two hours at a time without break
  • Have good color vision
  • Speak, understand and write in English
  • Travel to customer locations or local suppliers a few times a year, if needed
