What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Clerk position at Phoenix Data Corporation Inc?
Clerks are responsible for assisting with, and ensuring that we meet or exceed, our contractual Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan and Measurements, referred to as QASP. Clerks are responsible for capturing data comprised of alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from paper/electronic images according to the custom developed software application. For success in this position the individual must be knowledgeable of the different type documents/equipment and indexing/scanning them correctly. Phone conversations may be necessary to perform duties. Scanning equipment may be used to capture electronic images of the documents received in the mail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, among others:
Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from paper and/or electronic images utilizing TracDoc, PONL and/or Adobe software application to capture the appropriate data. Scanning uses TracDoc Imaging.- Compares data entered with source documents or electronic images, or re-enters data to verify the accuracy of the data captured and makes necessary corrections to the information captured. Rescanning a document may be necessary for best quality.
- Routes all source documents (paper and/or electronic data) to next work flow process when completed.
- Keeps record of volumes received and work completed on a daily basis and may be required to prepare various production reports.
- Examines documents, logs and other output for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures, while utilizing this data to constantly improve operations.
- Follows proper procedures, rules, and processes for data/electronic image capture and quality assurance of the data/electronic image as outlined in the procedures manual.
- Ensures the confidentiality of Company information, documents, conversations, strategic plans and materials.
- Cross trains in other functions as allowed.
