Delivery Helper

We are looking for a Delivery Helper for a leading distributor of appliances and furniture in the Toledo area.

Key Responsibilities:

· Delivery Assistance: Assist delivery drivers in loading, unloading, and transporting appliances to customer locations.

· Handling Appliances: Safely handle and maneuver heavy appliances, ensuring they are properly protected and secured during transit.

· Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any concerns or questions may have.

· Installation Support: Assist with the basic installation of appliances, such as connecting hoses, leveling, and ensuring appliances correctly placed.

· Damage Prevention: Inspect appliances for damage before and after delivery, and report any issues to the driver or supervisor.

· Documentation: Complete and review delivery paperwork, including customer signatures and inventory logs.

· Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment and minimize the risk of injury.

Qualifications:

· Experience: Previous experience in delivery, moving, or a similar role is preferred but not required.

· Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry heavy appliances utilizing a dolly (and perform physically demanding tasks).

· Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

· Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.

· Driving License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred (if driving is required).

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
