What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director position at PHP of NC, Inc.?
The Program Director position provides professional direction, supervision, and coordination of services. Helps coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the overall Day program, which includes staff, departments to identify trends, prioritize and recommend compliance improvements. This position also helps to investigate client/staff complaints and other issues as requested by the supervisor.
Key expectations in this role: management of deadlines for sustaining programs and expectations for best performance of the Day Program.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide supervision of administrative and contractual personnel
- Facilitate and oversee the day-to-day operations.
- Supervise a team of Qualified Professionals, direct care staff and consumer.
- Ensure service is being delivered according to sound therapeutic practices.
- Lead role in implementing corporate strategy, particularly as it relates to motivating the company’s personnel, suppliers, potential and actual customers, and investors.
- Ensuring and maintaining the financial health of the company and is often also charged with responsibility for solidifying and maintaining investor relationships.
- Ensure that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
- Demonstrates an understanding of all applicable rules, regulations, standards, and policies.
- Ensures clinical policies and procedures provide the best means for QP’s & direct care staff to carry out their responsibilities and achieve projected goals.
- Maintain the exceptional quality of PHP of NC’s programs and services
- Participates in policy and program implementation.
- Ensures all deadlines are met.
- Implements, monitors, and participates in continuous quality improvement.
- Reviews and ensures accurate and complete clinical charts on each client.
- Knowledge of On-Target and EVV
- Provide support and supervision to team members.
- Conducts personnel performance reviews in accordance with Personnel Policy and Procedures.
- Provides training, motivation, goal setting and supervision to direct supports.
- Ensures implementation, goal setting and supervision to direct reports of approved Person-Centered Plans/Plans of Care.
- Ensures staff follow PHP of NC, Inc. Policies and Procedures including:
- Documentation of issues and situations that arise with individual teams.
- Progressive discipline including written corrective actions.
- Ensures that all applicable rules, regulations, standards, and policies are adhered to by direct care staff.
- Provide assistance and solutions for crisis situations.
- Assures the implementation of approved procedures to achieve the maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Participates in person centered planning and other meetings as necessary.
- Works with the Local Management Entity to solve day-to-day problems regarding clients and/or their families.
- Works closely with clients, families, and/or guardians to ensure satisfaction of service delivery.
- Maintains organized and completed supervision notes on direct reports.
- Audits clinical charts to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures authorizations are current to maximize billing.
- Ensures Medicaid eligibility monthly to maximize billing.
- Responsible for assisting and leading staff meetings with guidance from the Executive Director.
- Will attend all necessary meetings to ensure effective service delivery.
- Responsible for participating in meetings with CEO, COO, Executive Director.
- Provides communication between PHP of NC, Inc., LME, and all other community stakeholders as required.
- Participates in orientation/education/training of staff, as applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Education
Graduate of a college or university with a master’s degree in a human service field and has three years of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated MH/IDD experience with the population served.
