Physicians treating patients suffering from chronic pain face several unique challenges, including those associated with medication management.

Routine urine drug testing provides documentation to rule out illicit drug use or non-compliance with a prescribed drug regimen.

Responsibilities and Duties :

The main function of this position is to conduct urine and blood specimen collections ensuring the integrity of the specimen.

  • Discuss the drug testing process with the patient, obtain the patient's consent, and necessary signatures tied to the requisition form and other lab documents.
  • Package and ship the specimen to the laboratory in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure the accuracy of paperwork (requisition form).
  • Paperwork HOLDS cleared within 48 hours of receipt / notice.
  • Ensure supplies are kept in stock at the clinic (avoid rush shipping).
  • Motivation to arrive at the clinic each day ready to work at a designated time.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Build positive, productive relationships with the clinic.
  • Possess a professional business appearance and demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Required Education :

High school diploma or GED diploma

Starts at $18.00 an hour.

Preferred Experience :

  • Previous hands-on medical field experience to include but not limited to MA, CNA, etc.
