Description:
The primary functions are to recruit Primary Care Physicians, grow the IPA’s membership
(primarily, Medicare Advantage and Medi-Medi), and coordinate and interface
between the physician network, the IPA, and contracted HMOs by building relationships
with the PCP network, strategizing efforts, and supporting and implementing the overall
marketing plan set for the IPA. Recruitment includes but is not limited to generating new
leads, vetting those leads, and conducting initial contact with the physician's office on
behalf of the IPA client.
Primary Responsibilities:
On-going physician recruitment by promoting the IPAs complete compensation
packages and services for Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and select Specialists
as approved by the client.
Promote and market the IPA in the respective community.
Responsible for maintaining a supply of updated and current marketing materials
for presentation and distribution to providers as needed.
Conduct inquiry/research via the Internet or phone to providers, vendors, and/or
external organizations as needed.
Assist providers with patient service calls, patient retention, and patient growth to
increase overall senior membership to the PCP and IPA through FFS conversions
into HMO and new senior patients (organic growth).
Coordinate PCP meetings with brokers and/or vendors as needed.
Assist in communications and information exchanges with providers regarding our
marketing partners. (i.e. hospitals, health plans, and vendors).
Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to organize and participate in
marketing events as needed.
Conduct PCP site audits as needed.
Contact potential recruits and/or current providers via phone and/or field visits.
Participate, build, and promote a fair, positive relationship with all providers and
within the entire work environment.
Research and maintain a working knowledge of current competitors in the IPAs
respective community that includes compensation, bonuses, and other offerings
to assist in highlighting the value differences and advantages of the IPA.
Maintain a solid working knowledge of managed healthcare as it pertains to the
client including but not limited to provider networks, health plan contracts,
ancillary services, capitation structure, complete compensation
packages/contracts/bonuses, other services/resources offered by the client, and
evolving marketing strategies.
Track and log daily marketing updates related to but not limited to physician
recruitment, new leads, and provider visits.
Attendance at Cerritos office once a week and active participation in weekly
meetings/trainings.
Conduct provider in-services and/or training as needed.
Maintain current working knowledge of IPA contracts, amendments, and
credentialing processes, HCCs, and RAF.
