This game changing career will give you the opportunity to be challenged with various lines of business for Physicians Mutual. You will perform assignments of specific actuarial related tasks mathematical in nature. Receives instructions and guidance on all assignments, but will also be expected to take ownership and work autonomously on some projects. Compiles and categorizes data for experience analysis, financial analysis, and prepares related reports. Prepares schedules of statistics, financial statements, premiums, reserves and benefits, documenting and verifying factors used in computations.
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related discipline.
- 3 years of experience working with actuarial models
- Ability to apply standard mathematical computations to a variety of assigned work projects
- Strong Excel experience for mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, etc.
- Ability to logically present voluminous data in a concise, understandable format
- Ability to perform several projects while maintaining rigid deadlines
- Ability to prepare basic financial and statistical reports
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build, maintain, and upgrade financial models utilizing complex actuarial concepts
- Familiarity and/or comfort with coding required
- ALFA experience.
- Experience with running SQL queries.
