Central Sterile Technician I - Central Sterile
Status: Full Time, Permanent Placement
Shift: Day Shift
Job Summary: The Central Sterile Technician is a member of the C.S. team with training in Central Sterile procedures pertaining to the processing of sterile and unsterile items. This position is responsible for the technical duties of: decontamination, cleaning, assembling, sterilizing, storing inventory and distribution of medical devices, instruments, trays, packs, and supplies used to deliver patient care.

About us: South Baldwin Regional Medical Center is a 112-bed, acute care hospital offering inpatient, outpatient, emergency, diagnostic and surgical care with over 800 employees and a network of medical clinics serving greater coastal Alabama. A dedicated and experienced medical staff offers over 32 medical specialties. Hospital services include Baldwin County’s only Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center, Women’s Imaging, digital imaging, a 24-hour emergency department, an extended hours urgent care & imaging center and freestanding emergency department in Gulf Shores.
With numerous recognitions for quality and safety, the hospital is Baldwin County’s only Chest Pain and Stroke accredited facility and one of only two Sepsis Certified facilities in the state of Alabama. We work hard every day to be a place of healing, caring and connection for patients and families in the community we call home.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- One year experience preferred
- Central Sterile Technicians II must have completed one year of orientation plus completed the Purdue University Central Sterile Course and shown documented competency.
- Certification in Sterile Processing preferred.
- Current BLS from the AHA or ARC
