Job Posting for Switchboard Operator - Overnight Weekends at Physicians Regional Healthcare System
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
- Operates a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
- Primary job functions are structured and do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Works under immediate supervision of team lead, thus directly reports to department team lead and/or Director.
- Expected to gain and master knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the realm of responsibilities. Is responsible for the hospital emergency line and after hours doctors answering service.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts, including weekdays and weekends (except for overnight) as business requires.
Experience
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in the switchboard/telephone operator or hospital setting.
