Who are we looking for?
We are looking for applicants who have a passion for teaching music and building a musical community. Piano & More teachers implement a more contemporary teaching stye and fun approach to music, providing in your training. This proves to be convenient for the families, as well as a rewarding environment for the teacher, as we get to know our families and build friendships with students. Don't be weary of the driving aspect, we have developed a method to reduce driving times to 5-15 mins per location with back-to-back lessons. We like to custom make our schedules, time-off, and availability. You also chose the students you are interested in. APPLICANTS MUST BE LOCAL, we cannot hire teachers that are not close-by. Most students are located in Arlington, Falls Church, Mclean, Great Falls, Reston, Alexandria.
Also, someone that can teach multiple instruments (piano & voice for example) would be a plus!
Piano Teachers Requirements:
- Lessons are usually taught 3-8pm on weekdays; weekends work as well but weekdays preferred.
- Teach private weekly lessons (30, 45, and 60 minute lessons available)
- Reliable transportation to be able to travel to student's homes (routes are organized by the neighborhood so students are close-by
- Host Spring and Winter Recital, attend Open Mic/other community events when possible
- Send out monthly newsletters every month (examples will be given)
- Teacher will need to teach lessons virtually in case of COVID contact
- 10 students minimum, but hopefully you can take on 20-30 because we have a waiting list
- 1 year contract commitment- students need that reliability
- Piano education/proficiency
- Teaching experience, especially with elementary aged children
- Great communication skills
