I/O Coordinator
Picture Head
The I/O Coordinator is responsible for gathering, logging and dispersing material. The coordinator will verify the accuracy of information and manage data storage to and from our internal network. Must have strong communication skills, as it involves both technical and interpersonal components, ensuring systems are technically sound, while maintaining open communication, both within the department and with production teams.
Responsibilities:
- Upload and download various files and finishing prep from a variety of file transfer programs
- Initial QC of files and pushing/pulling to different internal digital folders
- Constant email communication of pertinent information to internal and external parties
- Interaction with Producers and Assistants
- Other duties as assigned
- Shift: 4-6pm start time
Required Skills:
- Fluent on Mac & PC
- Fundamental knowledge of file formats (Quicktime, H264, AAFs, etc) and File Viewing programs (Quicktime Pro, VLC, etc)
- Familiar with various file transfer programs (Aspera, Dropbox, etc)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle a fast paced, occasionally high-pressure environment
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work very flexible hours, including weekends, evenings or nights when production schedules require
- This shift will begin at 6am, Tuesday-Saturday.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience at post production facility is preferred.
Education:
- High School education or equivalent required.
- BA/BS in applicable field preferred.
