Pierce Atwood LLP seeks a lateral associate with two to five years of energy (electricity and/or natural gas) regulatory experience to join its sophisticated, regional and national Energy Practice in its Portland or Washington DC offices. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of public utility ratemaking and experience before a state public utilities commission and/or the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Experience in the following areas would be a plus: renewable energy markets and development; regulatory approvals for mergers and acquisitions and transmission/pipeline development; energy procurement and contracting; and energy project finance.
Pierce Atwood is a mid-sized law firm with offices across New England and in Washington DC with a long history of providing high quality legal services for energy clients in the northeast and across the country. - Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination required. (Per the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series (e.g., Pfizer, Moderna), or, 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson).
- Work Location Policy - all firm members are expected to work in the office at least three days a week, which allows the option to work remotely two days a week.
