Position Summary: The Vice President of Telecom Construction and Renewable reports to the Region Vice President and serves as a principal advisor and/or project manager for telecommunications construction projects/partnerships and may also assist in the continued project management and strategic growth of the renewable energy sector within Pike.
The Vice President of Telecom Construction and Renewable must be capable of working seamlessly with other Senior Leadership and cross-functional teams, using team building, collaborative and inclusive methods in the pursuit of internal process improvement and external continued growth activities.
Essential Functions:
- Identify and execute design-build opportunities in the Telecom space.
- Identify and execute joint-use opportunities between Telecom and Powerline.
- Identify and execute renewable opportunities in the solar/hydro/wind markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal Pike stakeholders and external Pike customers.
- Take aggressive ownership of projects and provide excellent progress reporting and overall status on a weekly basis.
- Exercise independent personal initiative in researching and analyzing current and emerging industry trends shaping workforce development and business operations.
Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting, finance, economics or related field.
- 10 years of related experience in utility company or contractor sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be comfortable and effective in communicating with all tiers of employees and customers.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel as required.
