Position Summary
- The Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly and testing of electronic components and accessories used in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and other written instructions or procedures.
- Build products and accessories using hand tools.
- Perform soldering and hand crimping.
- Perform quality work check on assemblies to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of solder and crimping experience is REQUIRED.
- Minimum 2-3 years of assembly experience is preferred.
- Must also possess good mechanical and basic computer skills.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Requires extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
