Pillar is currently on the lookout for a Business Solutions Engineering Intern to join our Morgantown, WV team. This position will be based out of our Morgantown office. We are looking for individuals who get excited about tackling a different challenge daily and are willing to adapt based on the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, troubleshoot, debug, and test business process solutions for new and existing applications
- Collaborate with the business enablement team to implement new software solutions
- Work with end users on training, software support, and getting user feedback
- Design & implement custom features in ERP system and underlying database
- Develop solutions in low code environments such as MS Power Automate, Power Apps, FileMaker, etc.
- Work with business enablement team to write and maintain business and analytical reports
- Troubleshoot and implement bug fixes and feature requests
- Develop maintainable solutions with well-defined implementations
- Assist in creating and maintain relevant documentation for solutions
- Assist end users with creation of training materials and videos
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant Technologies – familiarity with any of the following technologies is a plus.
- Vista by Viewpoint (ERP Software System)
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, M Language, Power Pivot/DAX)
- Microsoft PowerBI (data modeling, DAX)
- Microsoft Power Automate & PowerApps
- Microsoft SharePoint Online
- SAP Crystal Reports
- Microsoft SSRS
- Microsoft Access
- Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence/Service Desk)
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Working towards BA/BS in Computer Science, Enterprise Systems Management, or a related field
- Willing to learn a wide array of new technologies and adapt flexibly to changing business requirements
- Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with customers, with an aptitude to answer technical questions in a simplified manner
- Valid driver’s license
- Database familiarity a plus
- Interest in solving business intelligence and analytics problems
- Able to balance multiple projects and efficiently organize work tasks to meet company goals
- Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and in team environments
- Willingness to participate in Pillar Innovation’s Drug and Alcohol policy, which includes pre-employment, random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested
