What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Host position at Pinch Chinese?
Pinch Chinese, a Michelin Bib Gourmand, Michelin Sommelier Award Winner, and NY Times 1 star Critic's Pick restaurant, is looking for an awesome Maitre D' or Lead Host to immediately join our growing team!
To join our team, you should be a team player, self starter, and positive force. We enjoy each other's company as much as we enjoy delivering a quality experience for our guests. Previous experience in NYC casual/fine restaurants is required.
You should bring to the table:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a high volume NYC restaurant as a host or reservationist
- An ability to comfortably and articulately engage with guests in person and over the phone
- Confidence and poise, with a healthy sense of hospitality
- Strong attention to the details of the restaurant and hospitality setting
- Experience with Resy, Seamless/GrubHub, and/or Caviar/DoorDash
- POS experience is a plus (we use Toast)
- Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
