Driller Operator-Basic Duties
Signed off on both 50- and 100-ton Haul Trucks.
Signed off on Water Truck.
Signed off on Skid Steer, Backhoe, Tele-handler, and Man Lift.
Knowledge and understanding of working near a high wall.
Basic maintenance knowledge and ability to diagnose problems.
Ability to ask for help when needed.
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Show competency with all safety standards and operating procedures for each area.
Ability to recognize a hazard and avoid them.
Operate the drill on all surface types (hard, mud, loose material)
Ability to diagnose basic problems (chunked bit, locked up hammer, etc.).
Measure holes, fill out drilling logs, operate Power PAD.
Identify seams and cavities when drilling.
Change hammer, bits, and main air line.
Unstop plugged bits safely.
Ability to unstick steels and rebuild hammers.
Diagnose and fix complex problems (hammer oiler, greaser, regulators)
Complete 2,000 hour service.
Lay out shots
Complete job duties to the satisfaction of their supervisor
Must have a good attendance record, have a good attitude towards job, be responsible for minimal to no property damage incidents. (All incidents will be subject to review by management)
Basic Requirements
Do you have the ability and desire to work 12-hour shifts?
Do you have the willingness and flexibility to work weekends or overtime as needed?
Do you have the ability to do manual labor including lifting items as heavy as 50 pounds?
Do you have the ability and desire to work during inclement conditions including extreme heat and cold?
Do you have the ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform repetitive bending and stooping when required?
Do you possess excellent communication skills and work well with all personnel at the Quarry?
Are you motivated and a self-starter?
Are you willing to work night shift?
