Job Description: Farmyard Educators are 50% guest services and 50% farmers. The goal of the Family Farmyard is to educate and connect visitors to agriculture in a safe, engaging, hands-on environment. Pineland Farms’ Family Farmyard sees thousands of visitors over the course of the summer/fall and our farmyard educators are an integral part of our staff. To be successful in this position you must enjoy working with the public and hard work. Come join our team and get all the goat snuggles and cow kisses you could want!


Responsibilities include:

  • Engage visitors in Pineland Farms’ mission, services, history and products
  • Formal programs and less formal “meet and greet a farm animal” type of experiences
  • Uphold excellent guest services in a sometimes fast-paced environment Processing and receiving payments/answering phone/record keeping etc.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff and supervisors to create a respectful and open work environment
  • Chores associated with the family farmyard animals, gardens and general farmyard maintenance
  • Provide support for other departments during special events (On as needed basis)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Full-time (30-40hrs) & Part-time (20-29hrs) seasonal positions
  • Weekend availability
  • Willingness to work with livestock and the public
  • Hiring starts at 16 years of age

Term: Seasonal *August - November

Reports To: Education Department Managment
